This is what I would to do in
traditional found poem with the segment of text I selected. I chose to delete each an every article;
replacing them in one case with a slash and the rest of the time with ellipsis. Additionally, I removed a set of quotation
mark that were, while of use in the article, detrimental to my poem. Lastly, I used different fonts in part of the poem and
experimented with word placement. Following
the poem is today’s Oulipost assignment is N+7. Poets are to select a passage from one
of your newspaper articles. Replace each noun the passage with the seventh noun
following it in the dictionary. I
decided to keep all the formatting changes I made to original found poem in this
new poem.
